October brings a special Coffee + Clay collaboration @ashcoffeeatl
November is National American Indian Heritage Month.
The Library of Congress, National Archives and Records Administration, National Endowment for the Humanities, National Gallery of Art, National Park Service, Smithsonian Institution and United States Holocaust Memorial Museum join in paying tribute to the rich ancestry and traditions of Native Americans.
Our featured artist is Lillian Ondus, Archaeologist. October is international archaeology month! During this workshop, we will create stamp designs similar to those seen on Middle Woodland period (600 BC-AD 500) Swift Creek pottery made by Native Americans in Georgia. November is Native American Heritage month so we will continue discussions about the early potters of Georgia and use our October stamps to decorate the vessels we will create in November.
